Catalog description
This course seeks to survey key topics in American National Security Law, including military justice, border security, federal emergency and war powers, intelligence law, and the USA PATRIOT and Homeland Security Acts. It addresses the importance of legal constraints on contemporary military operations, and will explore legal topics of pressing concern to modern operations, such as international freedom of navigation, transnational military operations, and status of prisoners, among other topics.
