The History and Use of Air Power

Catalog description

Since its advent on a large scale in the First World War, the application of power from the air has developed into a decisive force in international economics and politics. This course surveys the growth of air power as a strategic, operational, and tactical asset over the last century, as well as analyzing its effectiveness, and limitations, in both military conflict and the current projection of force. The course will consider the traditional applications of air power, as well as the developing technologies of drones, ballistic missiles, and other remotely operated air vehicles.
