Catalog description
This course introduces students to the geographic foundations of global power, conflict, and security. It explores how territory, borders, resources, and strategic location shape international relations and state behavior. Through contemporary case studies, the course examines issues such as great power competition, regional conflicts, and emerging security challenges, while building foundational skills in geopolitical and strategic analysis. Students will learn how states interpret and act upon geographic realities through geostrategy, shaping patterns of conflict, cooperation, and global order.
