Foundations of American National Security and American Foreign Policy

Catalog description

This course explores foundational elements of American security and foreign policy, and in particular looks to establish how these two have become noticeably intertwined as the American Republic has developed. It further looks at defining policies of various Presidents as they have sought to balance the need for security with the expectations of foreign policy.
