Catalog description

Differential equations can be used to model a wide array of engineering and non-engineering situations. This course focuses on how students can approach scientific problems and gain insight by applying ordinary differential equation modeling. Students will work as a team and the semester will finish with a culminating challenge problem as a means of evaluating their progress in real-world applications. Participation in SIMIODE Challenge using Differential Equations or a similar type competition is anticipated.
