Catalog description

This course allows students to identify and understand key psychosocial factors in their patient care, while also reflecting on and developing their personal approach to addressing psychosocial aspects in their practice in an ethically-grounded, evidence-based fashion. Special emphasis is placed on the psychology of injury, recognition of clinical psychological conditions, practical strategies for counseling and providing support, and a basic understanding of mental performance skills.
