Catalog description
This course will review the scientific basis and practical considerations involved in developing safe and effective strength and conditioning programs. Students will be instructed in proper technique, coaching strategies, and the development of goal-driven exercise programs for diverse populations. Emphasis will be placed on developing an annual training plan from the perspective of a strength and conditioning professional. Concepts covered in this course will follow the framework established by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
