Current Concepts in Sports Medicine Laboratory

Catalog description

This labratory will introduce introductory sports medicine concepts related to health and exercise science. It will expose students to emergency action planning and immediate injury management training through American Red Cross CPR/AED training and American College of Surgeons Stop the Bleed certification. Students will gain an appreciation of concussion evaluation tools, tissue healing modalities, movement screening, and injury risk assessments. Enrollment in HLTS225 is required.
