As evidence-based medicine evolves and continues to drive high quality patient care, all health care providers will be driven to embrace this patient care paradigm. To fully engage in evidence-based patient care, students will need to master scientific terminology and the information literacy process. Information literacy is an intellectual framework for identifying, finding, understanding, evaluating, using and disseminating information. This course will serve as the gateway to the information literacy process with special emphasis on allied health professions. Courses within the athletic training curriculum will rely on and continue to build upon the introductory skills & knowledge obtained in this course. Lecture. Information Literacy.
