Introduction to the Healthcare Systems course aims to provide knowledge concerning the most important terminology, classifications, and trends that pertain to the health care industry in the United States; criteria by which we can critique the system; theoretical perspectives used to analyze and explain the system performance; current and emerging issues in health care; how to systematically collect, review, organize, and synthesize the rapidly changing literature in health services research, administration, and policy.
