Catalog description

This course will address basic considerations of risk management within the healthcare industry such as legal concepts, development of risk management programs and effective governance. Risk financing is considered a distinct program component as well as ethics, patient communication, credentialing of providers, contract review concepts, employment liability, and patient and occupational safety. The course will also cover risk management strategies for specific high risk areas within healthcare organizations.
