Catalog description

This course will investigate major issues in the history of Europe from c.1450-1789. Themes may include the impact of the New World and globalized trade; the Protestant Reformation and its Catholic counterparts; the development of modern states and political systems; and the Scientific Revolution and Enlightenment. Specific attention to artistic and cultural developments and evolving conceptions of class and gender roles. HIST 311W Pre-Req
