This course explores the history of the United States Army, from the colonial period and American Revolution to the ? small wars? of the post-9/11 era. The course examines the key military developments in American History: the evolution of a national army, military policy, war, battles, and strategy. It also examines the social and cultural dimensions of the US military experience, including the lived experiences of soldiers and noncombatants.
