"This course builds on analytical and decision-making skills in an environment of value-based purchasing and bundled payments. The emphasis is on financial management tools and techniques critical to the success of both investor-profit and nonprofit providers. Financial and managerial accounting tools provide a foundation for expanding financial analysis skills under conditions of risk and uncertainty. Course topics include payment reforms, value-based purchasing tools, operating and capital budgeting, revenue cycle management, and scenario analysis when considering financial and operating risk.
