Catalog description

The internship is an opportunity for the student to integrate theory to practice, reinforce didactic instruction, and gain professional skills. The internship involves the completion of 180 remote hours for 3 credits. This internship experience will afford the student the opportunity to learn about the various areas of focus within the healthcare field, write professionally, and can assist in deciding om a future career. Pre-requisites: achieving a C or better in all junior level classes, completion of first year of professional course work, completion of Pre-Clinical Health Requirements, and approval from the Faculty Internship Coordinator. Students must meet with the Faculty Internship Coordinator at least four months prior to the start of the semester in which they intend to enroll in this course. The pre-requisites for this course are achieving a C or better in all junior level classes.
