Catalog description

This course will include assessment, implementation, and monitoring procedures involved with the advanced use of behavior change techniques. Advanced topics explored will include verbal behavior, derived stimulus relations, shaping, chaining, equivalence-based instruction, and relational frame theory (RFT), as well as applying these concepts to behavior in the classroom and clinical settings. Particular attention will be given to non-aversive techniques that focus on preventing behavior problems and applying socially significant long-term and generalized behavior change.
