Legal/Ethical Issues: Applied Behavior Analysis

Catalog description

This course provides students with an in-depth overview of the professional ethics code for behavior analysts through topics including responsibilities as a professional, in practice, to clients and stakeholders, to supervisees and trainees, in public statements, and in research. This course also provides an overview of the theoretical and legal issues related to eligibility, service delivery, and educational planning in applied behavior analysis. Students will investigate the impact of the legal and ethical realities of education from various levels, including family, school, and community. Students will also explore the role of compassion as part of the ethical practice of applied behavior analysis.
