Catalog description

This course focuses on techniques used in teaching students with emotional and/or behavioral disorders and behavioral challenges. An emphasis will be placed on the selection and implementation of evidence-based instructional methods to create behaviorally-change systems with socially significant behaviors. How to select and adapt materials using best practices in applied behavior analysis and functional behavior assessment will be explored. Identifying behavior interventions for implementation in a variety of settings will also be addressed. The course also provides instruction specific to personal supervision and management techniques based on evidence-based practices in applied behavior analysis (ABA) for future practitioners.
