Catalog description

This required course is an orientation meeting designed to introduce new candidates to the graduate special education programs. It is held each semester for new candidates in their first term of enrollment of the Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis programs. Generally, the meeting provides information regarding the planned program of study and the Candidate Assessment System. This includes an overview of the candidacy and exit requirements, performance assessments, practicum, and capstone portfolio assessment.
