Academic Interventions in Special Education

Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to develop student competencies regarding academic assessment for intervention, evidence-based intervention, and Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) procedures in general. The class will focus on the needs of the whole child and how different academic interventions can support academic improvement. Students will use data-based decision-making to identify the success of the academic intervention to implement in the special education classroom.
