Fundamentals of University Faculty Positions

Catalog description

This course provides an overview of research, teaching, and service expectations of faculty members by also linking those to tenure and promotion procedures. Regarding scholarship, students will learn how to develop a research agenda, prepare and submit manuscripts for publication, learn how to conduct article reviews, and investigate grant opportunities. Students will also explore teaching philosophies and strategies related to course development and delivery, in addition to learning what service expectations are often required of university faculty.
