This course presents the physical, chemical, and medicinal chemical aspects of aromatic heterocyclic compounds, based on a prior understanding of modern structure identification techniques and of mechanistic organic chemistry. An emphasis will be placed on nomenclature, organic chemistry, and relevance to drug action. Offered spring term, even years.
