This course introduces students to the legal and ethical issues encountered in healthcare administration and practice. A basic overview of the legislature, judiciary, and executive branches of government will showcase the legal system and how it impacts some of the major legal and ethical issues encountered by nursing and healthcare administrators and healthcare providers in today?s fluid healthcare environment. Students will be exposed to topics and case studies in healthcare law and ethics related to healthcare delivery and management that will be discussed and analyzed using various legal and ethical principles and frameworks.
