Catalog description

This course introduces the foundational theories, science, and professional skills required for advanced forensic nursing roles, at the intersection of healthcare and the legal system. Students will critically analyze the evolving role of the Advance Practice forensic nurse in mitigating the domestic and global impact of violence. By synthesizing primary nursing theories with multi-disciplinary science, learners will develop a sophisticated framework for autonomous clinical decision-making. The curriculum focuses on mastering the core competencies of advance practice, integrating complex technical skills with high-level interpersonal and professional expertise, to provide specialized care for victims and perpetrators of violence across diverse populations.
