Catalog description

This clinical course engages the student in the development of advanced clinical nursing knowledge in a defined area of practice that complements current competencies as professional nurses. Students will have the opportunity to apply the Graduate RN Standards of Practice while completing the clinical practicum. Ongoing development is sought in this defined area to cultivate higher levels of clinical judgment, inquiry, advocacy/moral agency, and ethical conduct as it pertains to evidence-based practice. Responding to diversity, collaboration and systems thinking is critical in promoting a culture of safety and strengthen future practice as a nurse educator and leader. Facilitate methods of communication for interprofessional collaboration across diverse settings and populations.
