Catalog description

The examination of curriculum models in nursing education will provide the framework for the analysis and evaluation of approaches to organizing learning experiences into a total program of study. Attention will be directed to the processes used to create an innovative curriculum and evaluations methods which reflect professional priorities, societal trends, ethical considerations, diversity and equity of learners along with the institution's philosophies. Creation of program curriculum with current policy initiatives will be explored. Scholarship and collaboration for curriculum development will be explored to assess best outcomes as well as approaches to program evaluation, institutional policy development, including accreditation, program evaluation, and measurement of individual learning through test construction and analysis.
