Catalog description

Choral Conducting is designed to build on the foundations of undergraduate conducting coursework, addressing the technical, pedagogical, and artistic skills that are specific to leading choral ensembles. Topics include, but are not limited to, study of the gesture to evoke sound, score study and analysis, error detection, diction and articulations, designing rehearsal plans, and developing the vocal, aural and reading skills of the amateur choir. Restriction -Permission of the instructor.
