Catalog description

Music cognition and the development of musical ability are the central topics of this course. Additional thematic areas include music and meaning; cognitive structures in music (mental representation); development of musical skills, including performance, composition, improvisation, and listening; musical response (affective, aesthetic, physiological); and, music learning theories.
