Methods of Teaching Science in Grades PreK-4 Field Experience Level 3

Catalog description

GEPK 536 is a 1 credit field experience taken concurrently with GEPK 535 Teaching Science. Candidates will be assigned to a classroom for 15 hours to apply instructional practices in whole group and/or small group instruction learned in the methods course. The focus is on instructional planning, instructional practice, and assessment using inquiry based strategies for teaching. Candidates complete field assignments and are supervised and evaluated by the course content faculty and the host teacher.
