GEPK 531 is a 1-credit field experience that is taken concurrently with GEPK 530 Methods of Math. Candidates will be assigned to a classroom for a maximum of 30 hours per content area to apply instructional practices in whole group and/or small group instruction. The focus is on instructional planning, instructional practice, and formative assessment in the teaching of math. Candidates complete field assignments and will be supervised and evaluated by the course content faculty and the host school teacher. "
