Catalog description

In this skill development course counseling students learn the active listening skills (e.g., attending, paraphrasing, use of questions, etc.) and therapeutic techniques essential for conducting individual counseling. Students? application of active listening/interviewing skills will be evaluated through the use of a skills-based assessment (e.g., recording, simulated demonstration, etc.).
