Catalog description

This course covers the major provisions in school law affecting teachers, principals, and superintendents and others who collaborate with them in educational organizations. The types of law that will be reviewed include constitutional, statutory, ruling case, and common law as it applies to public education interpretations. Legal procedures with an emphasis on Pennsylvania school law, as well as ethics and advocacy for students and communities in the application of the law are all topics of this course.
