Catalog description

This course will introduce students to the investigation of fire and explosion incidents, with an emphasis on fire and explosion dynamics, scene investigation, evidence identification and collection, incident classification, and legal considerations in prosecuting the crime of arson. The course will also explore explosives terminology and the investigation and prosecution of explosives incidents. The course will focus on the proper methodology of fire and explosives investigation, which will be presented in the context of real-world incidents. Prerequisite: FORE courses, levels 100 through 400.
