Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce the student to the science of latent prints. Students will study the biological development of friction ridges, methods for developing, capturing, and preserving latent prints, and the ACE-V methodology for latent print comparison. This course will also provide students with the knowledge of current technology in the latent print community and the role of latent prints in the field of forensic science and courtroom. Prerequisite: FORE courses, levels 100 through 400.
