Catalog description

This course enables students to interact with faculty in the program as an informal course on hot topics in forensic science and law. These topics may include podcasts and television programs on true crime and the range of disciplines within the science such as firearms, serology and DNA, toxicology, psychology, and crime scene analysis. This colloquium will enhance the intellectual experience for freshmen and sophomores in the FSL program by allowing them to engage in an interactive discussion. Students will meet each week and bring cases or research topics of interest while the faculty will facilitate the discussion. Additionally, the course will serve as a framework to demonstrate best practices and quality control in the forensic sciences.FORE
