Catalog description

Read a variety of texts ranging in purpose and level with a focus on text analysis, critical response, and synthesis across materials; respond to texts in oral and written form; and develop vocabulary terminology and understanding of how vocabulary choice contributes to text content. Expand listening, notetaking, and communication strategies to enhance understanding and effective interactions on topics related to the readings by learning notetaking, presentation, and discussion conventions to facilitate successful participation in typical academic classroom interactions.
