This EQ course is where art and courageous conversations become catalysts for a more connected, civic and just world. This class will employ a social critique of art as we question What am I seeing? A goal in this course is to see art beyond the surface, so that students are empowered to recognize, as well as envision a more inclusive and expansive tradition. The conceptual framework for What am I seeing? will be on social justice and identities. What am I seeing? awakens a recognition that there are many narratives that invite students to see and question the wider scope of what constitutes art.
