Catalog description
Do you write online? Who owns the texts you publish in digital spaces? Digital technologies complicate notions of authorship and ownership, two key aspects of intellectual property (IP), a foundational concept for U.S. law, education, and industry. This course seeks to prepare you to make informed, ethical decisions about digital writing for your academic, personal, and civic work. In this course, you will learn to analyze and produce texts that show awareness of ways that decisions about IP affect and are affected by writing in a networked, digital world.
