Catalog description

The graduate internship is an opportunity for students to get practical experience working with an organization. Students are responsible for finding and securing an internship; students should discuss potential internships with the internship instructor to ensure that the learning outcomes are met; instructor approval must be obtained. An internship is defined as 150 contact hours. Successful completion of the internship requires a learning contract (two parts), supervisor evaluation, and student final report and presentation (the presentation may take many forms). The second internship must build on the experience gained in the first internship and demonstrate continued growth through greater responsibilities.
