Career Development Seminar

Catalog description

Students will learn the skills and be given background information necessary to make informed career decisions in the natural and environmental sciences. Basic skills such as resume writing, application processes, and interview preparation will be discussed during the initial part of the course. In addition, each student will prepare a career plan, resume, cover letter and write a reflection paper. Subsequent sessions will involve outside speakers who will discuss their career choices and the breadth of career opportunities within their field.
