EDLS 399 is taken concurrently with the secondary content area methods course (EDLS 341 - Math; EDLS 343 - English; EDLS 346 Social Studies). This 30 hour field experience provides the opportunity for teacher candidates to apply what is being learned in professional preparation methods courses and to reflect critically on their developing skill in teaching with practical experiences in relation to the content of the course and subject area. These experiences are designed to foster personal and professional growth in preparation for student teaching and entry into the teaching profession.
