Teaching Secondary School Mathematics

Catalog description

This course engages teaching candidates in developing the fundamental knowledge, skills, and dispositions for teaching mathematics in secondary schools (grades 9-12) in ways that promote students? learning and understanding. The course content addresses State and national standards for teaching and learning mathematics, lesson planning, instructional strategies, assessment techniques, the use of technology in mathematics education, and differentiating to meet the needs of diverse learners.
