Catalog description

This course provides a firm grounding in ethical discernment and an in-depth examination of federal and state education law related to policy and practice. Students will develop the skills needed to examine the complexities and contradictions in schools, organizations, and communities and address legal and ethical issues that impact the operation of these spaces. A personal code of ethics will be developed and applied to practical leadership scenarios, research, policy, and practice situations. This will not only enhance socially responsible and ethical leadership in schools, educational organizations, and communities but also empower students to make a positive impact.
