Catalog description
This course emphasizes design research methods, data analytics, and usability in designing for a range of interactive experiences that can include the web, mobile technologies, locative media, wearable electronics, augmented reality and the Internet of Things. Students learn how primary and secondary design research and associated methods such as literature review, contextual interview, case study, prototyping, observation, survey, and usability testing are integral to the interactive product design lifecycle. Based on their research, students engage in an iterative design process to creative interactive prototypes that include applications, websites and other types of digital experiences.
