Catalog description

Examines theoretical and philosophical coordinates of communicative practices of citizens living in city environments. Issues of public life in the city include the use of space as context for issues of social justice and injustice, phenomenological experiences of home (or lack thereof), and themes of displacement, immigration, and resettlement. Topics may include anti-migrant rhetoric, homelessness and graffiti, architectures of welcome and exclusion, and social media practices of city leaders, among others.
