Catalog description
Introduction to the principles and practices of construction management for civil engineering projects. Topics include project planning and scheduling, ethics, engineering economics, contracts and procurement, construction methods and equipment, safety, quality control, and project delivery systems. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, communication, leadership, and the application of management tools to support efficient, sustainable, and ethical construction practices. Students apply engineering and management concepts through case studies, team projects, and scheduling and estimating exercises. Prerequisites: CIVE 200: Engineering Design, CIVE 201: Surveying, CIVE 301: Data Analysis for Engineers
