Water Resources Engineering

Catalog description

Water Resources Engineering introduces students to the tools to analyze and model water systems. The class begins with the water cycle, which includes the natural fluxes and pools, and where humans have changed it. The course includes the atmosphere as a key pool of the water cycle. The focus of the course will be the natural surface water and groundwater pools and how humans have and could manipulate them. Quantification of these resources will be at the center of the coursework. The course will equip students to better use water resources sustainably. Prerequisites: MATH 115: Calculus I
