Catalog description
Water and Wastewater Engineering introduces students to the principles and practice of drinking water and wastewater treatment. This subject is one of the most important topics in all of human health as the two water systems are responsible for the single largest jump in human life expectancy. The focus of the course will be the design and function of centralized systems that are common in cities; additionally, rural systems and policy will be discussed. Prerequisites: CIVE 302: Fluid Mechanics
