Mechanics of Materials Laboratory

Catalog description

The Mechanics of Materials lab involves weekly hands-on experiments to test materials under tension, compression, bending and torsion. These tests will be performed on state-of-the-art equipment such as an Instron Universal Testing Machine with imaging software to measure strain and deformation of materials under different loads. This lab is designed to be taken alongside the Mechanics of Materials lecture.
