Catalog description

Fundamental principles and concepts of quantitative chemical analysis are presented. The basic concepts of electrochemistry, statistics, acid-base, and buffer chemistry, thermodynamics, kinetics, and nuclear chemistry will be covered. All chemistry and biochemistry majors are required to enroll in this course. Prerequisite for 152: C or better in CHEM 151 and CHEM 151L or special permission of the instructor. Lecture, three hours; recitation, three hours.
